Where does your food come from?
For next lesson you need to look in your food cupboards at home and write a list of 15 food items and where they come from. Not the supermarket but the country where they were made, grown etc…. Try and choose a variety of foods including fruit, tinned, packets etc…..

Exploring the UK.
Your task:
You are going to plan a week-long holiday for 20 American holidaymakers. They want to visit at least 6 places in the UK.
Some of these places should be human attractions (eg. cities, towns, cathedrals, stately homes) and some should be physical attractions (eg. seaside, mountains, national parks).
Your aim is to show the tourists how diverse The UK is in terms of landscapes, people, attractions etc.
Put together a poster, brochure or powerpoint to advertise the tour you have planned. You must include a map and photographs showing the different places visited. You must also write a paragraph on each place telling the Americans why they should visit this place.

What is a superlative?
A superlative is something that is the best! There are many superlatives in Geography. They are useful to know because in the future, if you are on a game show your knowledge might earn you some money!
What do I need to do?
Choose one of the geographical superlatives from below or find a geographical superlative for yourself.
Produce a poster (produced by hand or ICT), collage, or powerpoint, which shows some key facts about your chosen superlative.
Make sure your superlative can be clearly seen on your work.

Using the internet research a volcanic eruption. I want you to produce a factfile to include the following:
1. Name of the volcano
2. Location including map.
3. Which plates are involved in forming the volcano
4. When it erupted.
5. What hazards were associated with the eruption.
6. The effects of the volcanic eruption on people and the surrounding area.
