A selection of the most successful Year 9 personal challenges are show below.
The years 9′s had to create a diorama based on Shakespeare’s play ‘The Tempest’, which we have been studying and creating a high quality pencil drawing of themselves as a character from the play.

The powerpoint below gives and insight into the exam questions for the A2 2011 exam.
The date of the 15 hour exam is the 3rd, 10th and 13th May. This time will be used for a main piece as a response to one of the test questions.A2 QS 2011

The exam, which consists of a timed planning document will be held on the 15th and 18th of March.
The deadline for all work to be in will be the start of May.
Some students who achieved min 4 A/A* have the opportunity to experience some of the best Universities in the Country through the Sutton Trust Summer School programme.
This is an excellent all expenses paid experience, that is great if you are looking to go to University or onto further education and also looks extremely good on your CV.

15 Year 9 More Able Gifted and Talented students took part in a Sculpture Trail

Over the summer break you will need to complete your 4 double pages spreads (min) on each question with appropriate annotations.
Complete the proposal form identifying your area for research. Using double page spreads as research and information from guidance booklet.
You will need to have completed your introduction (min 100 words). Your can go on to complete more of your 1000 word essay if you chose to. As they whole essay will be due in shortly after your return. Use guidance booklet and essay burger for information.

This is for LO1 homework over the holidays. Use the examples stated.
LO1 needs to be finished over the Holidays, LO3 (your plan for your final piece) needs to have been started e.g. 4 final ideas, costume designs plan for music video etc….
Your Scrapbook ‘All about me’ is due in on the lesson back in September.
