Media Institutions
Writes – Write all of the main content of the magazine.
Photographers – Take photo’s for the magazine cover and inside pages.
Photoshop editors – Help put a final finishing touch on the photo’s taken by the photographer.
Publishers – Publish the magazine and make the whole magazine come together.
Distributors – These are big stores such as ASDA, Sainsburys, Tesco and others.
Editors – Edit the magazine checking the technical words, the grammar is correct and spelling is all in order.
Critics – These pick apart the magazine so that the magazine company know where they went wrong and how they could improve on their magazine.
Audience – The target audience is important because it helps determine what kind of music the magazine should promote.

Primary Feedback
- For my primary research i looked at NME and how they distribute their magazines, i have also done some analysis on their magazine and looking at what codes and conventions they used in their final product.
- I have also looked through various music magazines such as Kerrang(Kerrang history) NME and Qmusic(NME history) they all have similar techniques to draw in their target audiences but i found NME used many abstract photo’s on their front covers.
- I have looked at what kind of advertisements are put into music magazines and how many are added into it, i have learnt that the advertising companies pay good quality magazines e.g NME, Kerrang!, QMusic and others to have a page for their product to be sold and advertised in it.
Secondary research
- I have looked on NME’s website and also on wikipedia to find out the history of the magazine.
- Kerrang was also another magazine and website i looked into and this helped because of the layout from the magazine and also the advertiments.
Audience Feedback
- Mr seel commented on my work and said it was “very good” he added that my front cover really stood out.
- Matt analysed my front cover and said it was pretty good and that he likes the layout of it.
Addressing The Audience
- Stick to one genre of magazine.
- Focus on the music products and advertisements in the magazine.
- Add text relevant to the magazine genre.
